As former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan articulated, today's youth must assume a leadership role and become exemplary advocates for change. We must provide platforms for young individuals to engage in constructive dialogue and rigorous debate concerning global issues. While participation in academic simulations such as Model United Nations is invaluable, it is equally essential for youth to gain insights into the complexities of world politics. Understanding these intricate dynamics will enable them to deepen their knowledge and foster a more profound appreciation of the global landscape.

 

At Betlegusese Model United Nations, we have meticulously structured our simulation to closely emulate the actual operations of the United Nations, both in committee sessions and in the functioning of our secretariat. The framework of our secretariat mirrors that of the United Nations Secretariat in New York, thus providing an authentic learning experience for all participants.

 

Through this initiative, we can cultivate enhanced academic understanding and present new and enriching experiences. Our simulations of the Security Council and the Lok Sabha will closely replicate their real-life counterparts, elevating the experience for all involved and creating a uniquely memorable opportunity.
